Around 1972 The late Kozo Ishiwatari, a developer, started developing an AC magnetic therapy device to restore the health of his family.

1974 Clinical trial of electromagnetic therapy device to obtain approval as a home medical device is started with the cooperation of Dr. Kyoichi Nakagawa, Director of Isuzu Hospital.

June 1978 Soken Co., Ltd. (3-33-2 Omorikita, Ota-ku, Tokyo) is established.

February 1979 Clinical trials started by Dr. Kenji Wago, Director of Internal Medicine, Kanagawa Prefectural General Rehabilitation Center April 1979 Obtained type approval for electromagnetic therapy equipment from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry

March 1980 Apply for approval to the Ministry of Health and Welfare with clinical data of electromagnetic therapy device.

November 1980 Obtained manufacturing and sales approval from the Ministry of Health and Welfare as a home medical device and electromagnetic therapy device.

January 1981 Started manufacturing and sales of electromagnetic therapy device "Souken B type"

April 1982 Established Soken Sales Co., Ltd. (currently Soken Medical Co., Ltd.), a group company.

March 1995 Moved the head office and factory from Omorikita, Ota-ku, Tokyo to Fujishiro-cho, Kitasoma-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture for the completion of the new factory.

July 1995 Started manufacturing and sales of electromagnetic therapy device "Soken"

June 2000 Started manufacturing and sales of the electromagnetic therapy device "Soken Relax"

November 2001 Moved Tokyo branch from Takadanobaba, Shinjuku-ku to Kanda, Chiyoda-ku

July 2005 Moved Tokyo branch from Kanda, Chiyoda-ku to Toride, Ibaraki

May 2010 Moved head office and factory to Katamachi, Toride City, Ibaraki Prefecture

March 2011 Obtained designated medical device manufacturing and sales certification for home-use permanent magnet magnetic therapy device
